Research and Writing
- Conducted keyword research on Mangools Keyword Finder and Semrush
- Established “Louvre sculptures and statues” as the primary keyword, and embedded it in the title, metatitle, metadescription, image alt text, and first paragraph
- Established secondary keywords “Louvre sculpture” (31 difficulty/3000 volume), “Most famous artworks in the Louvre” (28/1700), “Cupid and psyche sculpture louvre” (26/14700)
- Reseached topic and competitors
- Most competitors only listed the most popular sculptures and statues
- To avoid content saturation, I researched less famous and more interesting, ‘macabre’ art (Jeanne de Bourbon Vendôme)
- Drafted copy according to research findings
- Maintained Tiqets’ tone of voice (informative, playful, upbeat) by incorporating wordplay and fun historical information
- Formatted and structured copy in favor of UX and SEO
- Created a navigation pane at the top of the article, in line with SEO best practices and scannability

- Inserted “location” section to guide readers through the Louvre

- Added high-resolution images with sources
- Embedded links to high-authority domains and widgets to promote existing blog/ product pages

Performance Analytics
Within two months:
The blog post obtains 911 clicks, 49.8k impressions, and is on the second Google results page, at the 14th position

Google Console analytics Within six months:
The blog post is at the second postion on the Google SERP, for the keyword, “Louvre sculptures and statues,” right after the dominant domain, the Louvre

- Analyzed the blog’s current performance on Google Console
- 831 clicks over the past 6 months, below average for a Tiqets blog
- Click-through rate of around 3%; it was not keeping the reader’s attention
- Ranked low in other languages; it may use language that is difficult to translate or niche
- Conducted a close reading of the current blog post
- Content:
- outdated remarks about England
- too much hisorical information
- difficult-to-skim long paragraphs
- Structure:
- Lack of images
- Did not meet the ‘list’ format, preferable for this type of content
- Content:
- Executed competitor research, focusing on style and structure
- The three top competitors for the keyterm “beautiful places in England” had shorter, more structured content, and more images
- Performed keyword research on Mangools Keyword Finder
- Landed on 5 secondary keywords “things to do in England” (39 difficulty/10,500 volume), “places to visit in winter England” (30/1000), “summer England” (30/1700), “UK solo trip” (31/800), “summer holiday ideas” (38/860)
Editing
Content:
- Eliminated syntax, spelling, and punctuation mistakes
